REDHILL SUNDAY LEAGUE 4 (Bennett 7,Boulter 42 Hall 54 Volgaldo 83) LEATHERHEAD SUNDAY LEAGUE 2 (Goals 89, 90+1)
Another excellent performance saw the Sunday Rep team complete their fixture's with a 100% record and in doing so become the first Surrey Sunday Rep League Champions. It took Redhill just 7 minutes to open the scoring when a good move saw Dan Bennett through with just the keeper to beat which he did confidently to go 1-0 up. Ryan Hall then had an effort well saved before he saw his 30 yard thunderbolt smack of the cross bar. Murch then made a fantastic save down to his right to keep the score at 1-0 before a Leacock free kick eluded everyone and Chris Boulter headed home from close range at the back post to double the advantage. Ryan Hall then got a deserved goal after playing a neat 1-2 with Dan Bennett to make it 3 nil and shortly after Ashley Carew saw his long range effort go just the wrong side of the post. Dan Bennett then had an effort from just outside the box brilliantley saved before Paul Volgaldo headed home a Hall cross from close range after good work by Bennett to make it 4-0. 2 late consolation goals were scored by Leatherhead after some sloppy defending took the gloss of an otherwise excellent Redhill performance.

Taken from the League minutes regarding the cup finals
I would like to thank all League Officers who helped out at our recent Cup Finals at Redhill FC, especially our two programme sellers, Terry Holman and Gerry Reilly they did a splendid job selling to all and sundry our new programmes. May I also thank Nick Clark for taking on the roll of having the new programmes printed and designed. I will be writing to Redhill FC thanking them on behalf of the League for their hospitality. Whilst on the finals I would like to comment on the very sporting way that nine of the teams conducted themselves. Unfortunately there was one team that did not and the language and remarks from the majority of that team and the dugout area would have been better off somewhere else other than on a football pitch. I would like to commend the Referee for keeping all the players on the pitch and having the patience that I for one would not have displayed towards them.
